(More customer reviews)the niple shield is fantastic at preventing soreness, but do not use it too long!use as directed, use for a few minutes then remove and let baby latch on to your nipple.if you do not, baby will get used to sucking nipple shield only and will not want your nipple :(also kepping them clean is a lot of work when you are nursing every 2 hours and baby is screaming.buy a bunch and keep one in your nursing bra (right or left side depending on which side you will be feeding from next) above your nipple (not on it) for convenience after cleaning it so it is ready for next use.
